"Big Eyes" is probably the most "conventional" movie Burton has done in a long time, since most of it is handled in a smooth, elegant but fairly non-goth-kitschy style. There are many sunny windows full of light, smooth white buildings in California and colorful gardens filled with Hawaiian blooms, not to mention the palatial modern house of the Keanes.
